Apogee is experiencing an issue that is affecting Residence Hall Wi-Fi (MyResNet) access in Darragh Street Apartments on the Pittsburgh campus. Students affected by the issue are having issues connecting or staying connected to the network named MyResNet-5G. As a workaround, students impacted by the issue can connect their devices to the network named MyResNet-2G, which does not appear to be affected by the issue.

Microsoft is updating the Teams desktop app for Windows and Mac for all remaining users of the classic version by Monday, July 1. After this date, the classic version will no longer function. Changes to the University’s licensing agreement with Zoom are set to take effect July 1, 2024. The changes involve the Premium services (large capacity meetings and webinars) options for Zoom licensing through the University. The Zoom license add-ons for these premium services will be available in PantherExpress starting July 1. Pricing is as follows:

  Pitt Information Technology will update the University’s Wi-Fi certificate at 9 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28, as part of our required annual renewal process to maintain security. Wi-Fi services will remain uninterrupted during the renewal. However, students, faculty, and staff may be prompted to trust or accept the renewed certificate the first time that they connect to Pitt Wi-Fi after May 28. Trusting the certificate is required to securely access Pitt Wi-Fi services.
